Working with Centuries of Tradition.
I’m Toby Tottle and I believe the old ways are still the best.
The turning wheel, the shuttle, the needles, the steady rhythm of making; these are not relics of the past, but living practices that connect us to materials, landscapes and each other.
It is always a privilege to work with farmers and smallholders who know their animals and land so intimately. Behind every fleece is years of stewardship, hard work, and care for both flock and countryside. I consider it an honour to help carry that story forward through yarn and cloth.
I have been working in traditional textiles for twenty years, in Wales, in Scotland, and now in Shropshire, a stone’s throw from the world’s first iron bridge, a testament to early industrial craft in itself.
If you have wool and would like to consider having it spun into yarn or made into special blankets, scroll down to the form below and drop me a message. I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
Every good yarn begins with a conversation.
